Graduate Admission Deadline

After the admission deadline, you have the option of applying as an Education Graduate Non-Degree student, prior to the beginning of the academic term. Note: Admission as an Education Graduate Non-Degree student does not guarantee admission to an IU School of Education in Indianapolis graduate program. All courses must be approved by a faculty advisor to apply to an IU School of Education in Indianapolis graduate program.

You may begin checking Canvas once you are registered for classes. Many of your instructors will use Canvas to communicate information, prior to the start of class and throughout the semester; class syllabus, required text, are usually listed in Canvas.
You will need an IU account to register for courses and access student information.

In order for your degree to be conferred, you must submit the Intent to Graduate form.
Submission Deadlines:
- May Graduation: January 1st
- June Graduation: January 1st
- August Graduation: January 1st
- December Graduation: November 1st

IU Indianapolis requires students to submit immunization information. Failure to complete this requirement will impact your ability to register for classes.

You are eligible to register online through your One.IU/Student Center on the first day of your registration appointment. Your registration appointment should be visible in your One.IU/Student Center.
Newly Admitted Students
Admitted students are eligible to register during the open enrollment period. You can find the open enrollment dates on the official calendar.
