IU Indianapolis Scholarships
One $500 scholarship is awarded annually to the special education major or minor undergraduate student who best exemplifies the dedication to the principle and high professional standards of Dr. William Littlejohn. Application Deadline: Annually in December.

The Jesse H. and Beulah Chanley Cox Scholarship affirms and rewards the efforts of Indiana University students who have demonstrated the motivation and resourcefulness required for success through their part-time work and solid academic performance. Available to students at the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses, it is the largest IU scholarship based on both of these significant criteria. Application Deadline: Annually in March.
The Nina Scholars program is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for individuals who would not normally receive traditional academic scholarships, and whose personal commitments and financial circumstances would preclude their attendance without substantial, long-term scholarship support. Indiana Scholarships
The Commission for Higher Education is dedicated to making college affordable for all students by offering both need-based and non-need based awards. Please review the program pages below for instructions on how to apply and application submission deadlines for these programs.
In addition to financial aid, Promise Scholars receive proactive and individualized support from Indy Achieves Student Success Coaches. The Student Success Coaches provide support with financial literacy, academic planning, accessing campus and community resources, and providing career opportunities.
Community Based Scholarships
The AFCEA STEM Teachers Scholarship offers $5000 scholarships to encourage the teaching of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) subjects in American middle or secondary schools. - Interested candidates, teachers and mentors can get more information and download the scholarship application at http://stem.afcea.org. Application Deadline: Annually in the spring. Scholarships are awarded in August.
Scholarship awards are between $5,000 and $15,000 annually, growing by $1,000 each year until graduation. Eligible students must have graduated from high school and already be enrolled in a post-secondary degree or certificate program. Applicants must have a cumulative 3.0+ GPA and demonstrate financial need. Application Deadline: Annually in December.
Good Citizens Deserve Help With College! What makes you a good citizen? How do you demonstrate good citizenship through community volunteerism and leadership? Submit a short essay or video, complete the application form and submit two references directly connected to your community involvement for your chance to win. Be sure to apply early as participation is limited to the first 3,000 applicants. Application Deadline: Annually in May.
The Indiana Council of Math Teachers annually offers $1500 scholarships to preservice elementary teachers (sophomore status or higher) who are interested in becoming outstanding math teachers. Application Deadline: Annually in May
A minimum of one scholarship shall be awarded annually in each of the eight (8) geographic areas of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. Application Deadline: Annually in January.
