To advance more just and kind educational experiences, the Urban Education Counseling, Leadership & Policy Studies program prepares advocates who serve urban communities. We do so through development of knowledge, skills, and dispositions that promote ethical practice, an ethic of critical inquiry and activism, and attention to the complexities of working in and with urban communities.

Launches "The Evolve-ICBU" project
"The Evolve-ICBU" project combines grassroots organizations, Evolve Group, Inc. aimed at developing leadership and healing among Black boys and young men, with It Can't Beat Us (ICBU) which directs attention to girls and young women, by creating a network that begins by identifying girls, ages 12 to 18, and their mothers, who have been exposed to interpersonal and/or community violence.
