The IU School of Education in Indianapolis offers a "merged" certification program and masters program in special education at the post-baccalaureate level. Students who complete the certification courses receive certification in both "mild" and "intense" interventions, as established by the Indiana Professional Standards Board. Candidates must already be licensed to teach elementary or secondary education.
