Ten deserving students from our incoming class at the IU School of Education Indianapolis have been honored with the prestigious Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship, awarded by the Indiana Commission of Higher Education.This scholarship is testament to their dedication to the field of education their commitment to making a difference in the lives of in Indiana. Recipients of this scholarship receive $10,000 annually, with a total award of up to $40,000, for agreeing to serve as educators in Indiana for a minimum five years post-graduation.
Selection Process and Requirements
The selection process for this scholarship is highly competitive and is based on various criteria, including academic achievement and other factors. Students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA throughout their college years and complete a minimum of 30 credit hours per academic year to continue receiving the scholarship.
This scholarship not only provides financial support to these future educators but also encourages them to excel academically and professionally as they prepare to embark on their teaching careers in Indiana.
