To graduate from the Urban Education Studies (UES) doctoral program, you must complete a total of 90 credit hours and fulfill all of the IU School of Education in Indianapolis and the University Graduate School (UGS) requirements.

You will consult with your Advisory Committee to identify a minor. The courses you take to satisfy your minor can come from within the School of Education or from another school entirely—but cannot be part of the Urban Education Studies major.
Electives (9 to 15 credit hours)
You will have the freedom to choose courses that give you the breadth of knowledge you need to satisfy your particular interests and goals. However, you should have your Advisory Committee's approval before enrolling.
