License Renewal / Additions

Explore admission into our license renewal and licensure addition programs

The IU School of Education in Indianapolis offers a breadth of graduate courses that can apply to the renewal of an Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) issued license. We also offer three licensure addition programs for IDOE license holders. Admission requirements differ for each program, so be sure to refer to the specific program you are interested in for complete information.

Priority application deadlines

  • May 1 (fall)
  • November 1 (spring)
  • March 1 (summer)

*Applications for license renewal, are accepted on a rolling basis.

What to expect after you apply

You will receive an email confirmation after you submit your application. The notification will be sent to the email address that you included in your application. We will contact you if any additional information is required. Completed applications will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee after the priority application deadline.

Note: In some cases, the committee may request to schedule an interview, prior to making an admission decision.

You will be notified, via email, of the committee’s admission decision.
